Celebrate the 2010 Games at Sun Peaks February 12 to 28
Come celebrate the 2010 Games at Sun Peaks Resort with two weeks of fun, family oriented events. All events are complimentary, but registration is required. Most events include a medal ceremony and complimentary hot chocolate.
Along with our local 2010 themed events, catch all the action live from Vancouver and Whistler on televisions in our village restaurants, pubs, and cafés. Look for daily updates of Canada’s medal placing on the Medal Standings Board located slope side of the Village Day Lodge.

Visit Sun Peaks from February 12 to February 28, and save! Stay four nights and ski/board for four days for a family of four for only $260 per night. Choose from a variety of hotels, lodges, condominiums, and town homes with ski in, ski out access.

Opening Ceremonies

Location: Slopeside of the Village Day Lodge
Be a part of the Sun Peaks torch relay and lighting. Bring your national flag and show your pride as we parade through the village.
Saturday, February 13
Hockey Skills Challenge
Registration: 1:30pm, Ice Skating Rink
Time: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Location: Ice Skating Rink
Come try your shot and hit as many targets, deek the pylons and be the fastest skater. Skate rentals not included.
Sunday, February 14
Skeleton
Registration: 1:00pm, Adventure Centre, Village Day Lodge
Time: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Location: Tube Park
Hop on a tube and speed down the curved lanes of the Tube Park for your best time. Results will be displayed on the scoreboard.

Monday, February 15
3 Peaks Biathlon
Registration:10:00am to 11:00am, Village Day Lodge
Time: 11:30 to 1:30pm
Location: All over mountain
An all mountain biathlon in which participants will race to each of the resort's three peaks where their accuracy and agility will be tested. A mass start at the bottom of Gentle Giant will commence the race. Score cards returned to the Village Day Lodge to finish.
Tuesday, February 16
Family Fun Night
Registration: Not required
Location: Village Day Lodge
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Family Fun Night is all about the kids! This week’s activities and games have a 2010 theme. Prizes and medals will be awarded.
Wednesday, February 17
Children’s Fun Race
Registration: 11:00am, top of the Sun Catcher race course
Time: 12:00pm to 1:30pm
Location: Sun Catcher, Sundance Mountain
A kid sized race course complete with timing and medal awards. Adults and parents are also welcome.
Thursday, February 18
Skeleton
Registration: 1:00pm, Adventure Centre, Village Day Lodge
Time: 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Location: Tube Park
Hop on a tube and speed down the curved lanes of the Tube Park for your best time. Results will be displayed on the scoreboard.
Friday, February 19
Obstacle Cross
Registration: 11:00am, bottom of Gentle Giant
Time:12:00 to 2:00pm
Location: Bottom of Gentle Giant
Obstacle Cross course setup at the bottom of Gentle Giant. Participants must compete the running, skiing/snowboarding and obstacle course to win this race.
Saturday, February 20

Location: Race starts from the Covered Bridge by the Morrissey Platter
A fun race for all ages and abilities. Children will race to the Umbrella Café and back on a 2km course. Adults will race on the 4.5km Vista trail.
