Don't miss the biggest night of the year at Sun Peaks Resort! The festivities kick off with the Kids Glow Stick Parade on the Village Platter learning area, then takes to the sky with the 6th Annual First Flight Big Air Invitational where our best local skiers and snowboarders demonstrate their skills on our biggest terrain park jumps, under the lights. After First Flight, the Sundance trail will be glowing red as skiers descend the mountain with lit torches in hand at the annual Torchlight Parade. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks show against our mountain backdrop.

This is one night you don't want to miss! The best spectator location for the Kids Glow Stick Parade, Torchlight Parade, and Fireworks is at the base of the Sundance Express chairlift, just outside of the Village Day Lodge. For the First Flight Big Air Invitational, guests will want to make the short five minute walk up to the base of the advanced terrain park.

Kids Glow Stick Parade Registration

Register children at Guest Services before 5:00pm on the day of the event. Children must be able to ski or ride Sunbeam on the Village Platter with confidence. The minimum age to participate is 5 years.

First Flight Big Air Invitational Registration

Only snowboarders and skiers at an advanced terrain park skill level will be allowed to register. Anyone interested in participating in First Flight can contact Devin Knopf, Events Coordinator, at events@sunpeaksresort.com.

Torchlight Parade Registration

Registration will take place in Guest Services from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Registration for Torchlight parade is based on a first come, first serve basis. All participants must register and complete the waiver in person. The minimum age to participate is 14 and registration is limited to 170.  All participants MUST be present at registration, and parental signaitures are required for those under the age of 19, no exceptions will be made!  Torchlight Parade participants must have a valid lift ticket for December 31, 2012.
