The BC Snowboard Association is committed to providing a competition series that provides amateur snowboarders with an opportunity to gain competitive experience within a positive and structured series. Sun Peaks is committed to supporting amateur sport and is proud to host the BC Snowboard Provincial Series Slopestyle events.

The BC Snowboard Provincial Series is sanctioned by Canada~Snowboard and provides opportunity for athletes to compete for FIS points and to qualify for Canada~Snowboard Nationals. These events are the developmental program for young riders, as well as a tool for more established riders to gain FIS points. Medals will be awarded for non-FIS athletes by age group and gender:

  • 14 and under
  • 15 to 18
  • 19 and over

The organizers reserve the right to combine age groups (by gender) if there are less than 4 athletes in an age group by moving that group up to the higher age group. FIS competitors will receive the earned FIS points and trophies by gender for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Event is open to all current Advanced BCSA Membership holders and current FIS license holders.  All competitors MUST hold a current BC Snowboard Advanced Competitor License (or reciprocal provincial membership).  All FIS competitors MUST hold current FIS license.

Memberships and licenses can be purchased online at: under Member Services, Memberships and Licenses, CAIP and FIS.
Rules and Regulations

All athletes must be able to ride the terrain park with confidence. Competitions are run in accordance with FIS rules.  Detailed rules are available at  Certified helmets are mandatory for all training and competitions.
