Sun Peaks, BC - Sun Peaks is the ultimate summer family destination, including The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort. Opening for full 18-hole play this Saturday, June 1, B.C.’s highest elevation course has something for every member of the golfing family, including programs and discounts for junior golfers, men’s and ladies nights and new this season, Unlimited Golf.

Allowing families to spend more quality time together on the course, Kids Golf Free is returning this summer. When staying at a Sun Peaks Resort hotel, junior golfers (16 and under) play for free when accompanied by a paying adult. This offer is valid Monday to Thursday after 10:00 am.

Aimed at nurturing budding golfers, there are several opportunities for younger players at Sun Peaks. Every Sunday beginning June 16, golfers aged 6 to 13 years can improve their skills no matter their ability at Junior Golf Clinics starting at only $30. Also, young golfers aged 6 to 18 can participate in two day Junior Golf Camps hosted on three select weekends this summer.

But the fun isn't just for kids - new for 2013, The Golf Course at Sun Peaks Resort is introducing Unlimited Golf from Monday to Wednesday. Guests can play as many rounds as they like including shared power cart and enjoy a $15 meal voucher at Masa’s Bar + Grill any time on their day of play.

Moms and other women over 13 years can join Sun Peaks' local ladies every second Wednesday for Ladies Night. The afternoon features a casual nine holes followed by prizes and beverages at Masa’s Bar + Grill. Plus, they can hone their skills at a two hour Ladies Clinic at 2:00 pm on Wednesdays starting on June 19.

Men’s Nights will continue every Thursday this summer with a rotating dinner location and seniors can enjoy 10 per cent off on 18 holes every Tuesday.

After an early opening of the front nine holes, spring conditions continue to improve on the course. All 18 holes and the driving range will be open for play this Saturday. Designed by Graham Cooke, the par 72 course runs through the valley and provides spectacular views of the surrounding Tod, Sundance and Morrisey mountains. Located at 1200 metres above sea level, it’s British Columbia’s highest elevation course, meaning golf balls fly farther and higher mountain air provides cooler summer days.

To book a tee time, call the Sun Peaks Golf Shop at 1-855-574-5474 or 250-578-5431. Golf and Stay Packages starting at $104 are available online or by calling Sun Peaks Central Reservations at 1-800-807-3257.
