Sun Peaks, BC - The greens are in excellent condition for Sun Peaks Golf Course Opening this weekend on June 1, 2012. This summer, golfers can look forward to great deals, great events and good times at B.C.’s highest elevation golf course.  

“The golf course is looking fantastic,” says Chris Seeley, Sun Peaks Golf Course Pro.  “The course is in the best spring condition I’ve seen in four years.”

New this summer, Kids Golf Free when staying at Sun Peaks Resort. Junior golfers aged 16 and under are able to play for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Spend some quality time with mom and dad on our 18-hole Graham Cooke course, centered along the valley floor surrounded by three mountains. This offer is valid Monday to Thursday after 10:00am.

Also new for 2012 is the 5-Tee Card. Get five rounds at a 10 to 15 per cent discounted rate, followed by discounts right through the season.

Premium 5-Tee with Power Cart  $360 (Weekend tee times at a 10% discounted rate. After five rounds are used, receive 10% off any day all season long)

Limited 5-Tee with Power Cart  $276  (Weekday tee times at a 15% discounted rate. After five rounds are used, receive 15% off any day all season long)

Sun Peaks’ first 50th Anniversary Celebration event of the summer takes place at the Sun Peaks Golf Course on June 2, 2012. During the Mr. Fairway Contest, golfers of all ages and abilities are invited to test their swing on the driving range for great prizes from Taylormade. Competitions will include closest to the pin, most accurate drive, a flop shot contest, closest to the backside of the wall and a sand chipping contest. 

Pre-register for $5 or for $10 on the day of the event. Or play 18 holes of golf on June 2 or become a member and be entered into the contest for free!

Two well loved feature nights will continue this summer. Back by popular demand is “All You Can Mondays”. Golf as many rounds as you can, followed by all-you-can-eat pasta at Masa’s Bar + Grill. “Friday Nine & Dine” is also returning, great for a leisurely evening of nine holes and dinner with a $20 Masa’s gift card.
