Several guides are on hand including Canadian Senator, Olympic Champion and our Director of Skiing, Nancy Greene Raine. This popular event is complimentary with your hiking pass*, and you can choose to hike on your own or you can join a guide either at Masa's Bar + Grill where they'll be having breakfast from 8:30am to 9:30am, or meet at the base of the Sunburst Express at 9:30am.
Following breakfast the Sunburst chair will be open early for "Reach the Peak" participants at 9:30am. Summiteers are asked to leave for the hike as early as possible as the round trip can take up to 4.5 hours. Guides will meet participants at the top of the Sunburst chair until 10:30am (lastest arrival for those wanting to travel with guides), groups departing after 10:15am should take the shortest route via Gil's Trail.
*This event is weather dependant and may be postponed to the next day (Sunday) - Call Guest Services at 250-578-5474 for updates.
A photographer will be on hand along the route to document the hike, all participants are encouraged to arrive at 12:00pm to the summit of Mt. Tod for the group photo. The summiteers book will be on site untill 1:00pm.
