1. This Facebook Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Tourism Sun Peaks. The contest is open to anyone 19+ years of age that likes, shares and comments on the post telling us what they love about our region. The Contest starts January 7, 2018 at 11:00am (PST) and ends on January 10, 2018 at 11:00am (PST). 

ELIGIBILITY

  1. To be eligible, you must be 19 years of age or older as of the date that you entered the Contest. You are not eligible if, at any point during the Contest Period you are, or you live with, an employee, representative or agent of the sponsor, its affiliates or licensees.
  2. This Contest promotion on Facebook includes the following: (1) a complete release of Facebook by each entrant or participant and (2) acknowledgement that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

HOW TO ENTER

No purchase necessary.

  1. Anyone 19+ years of age or older that likes, shares and comments on the post stating one thing they love about our region will gain (1) entry in the Contest. One (1) prize-winner will be drawn on January 10, 2018. The winner will be contacted by a Facebook announcement on January 10, 2018, and will receive their prize by contacting Tourism Sun Peaks. The user of the 2 tickets to the Taste of Sun Peaks event must be over the age of 19. 
     
  2. LIMIT OF ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON. Tourism Sun Peaks will void all duplicate entries. 

PRIZE

  1. There is a total of one (1) prize to be won during the Contest Period: two (2) tickets to the Taste of Sun Peaks event that must be used on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. The prize has no cash value and is non-transferable. No substitution dates will be applied. 

SELECTION OF WINNER

  1. At approximately 1:00pm (PST) on January 10, 2018, in Sun Peaks, a random draw will be conducted, under the supervision of Tourism Sun Peaks, for the prize from all eligible entries received. One (1) prize-winner will be announced. The odds of winning the prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received before the Contest closes.

PRIZE CLAIM

The person whose name is randomly drawn will have to do the following to be declared the winner:

  1. Contact Tourism Sun Peaks within 72 hours following the draw through Sun Peaks Resort’s Facebook page to arrange a phone call;
  2. In the event that the prize is not claimed and picked up, the selected participant’s entry will be void and a new draw will be conducted following the official contest rules until a winner is declared and the prize has been successfully claimed.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The prize is not refundable or exchangeable for other products or any other form of rebate. 
  2. All information provided by entrants must be complete and accurate. Tourism Sun Peaks will not be held responsible for a late or incomplete prize claim. 
  3. Tourism Sun Peaks reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual from the Contest and to ban the individual from any future contest of Tourism Sun Peaks that it finds or believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Contest Website; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. 
  4. Tourism Sun Peaks reserves the right to disqualify entrants if it is discovered that attempts were made to: (i) enter more than once per registered entrant during the Contest period; (ii) use any automated, script, macro or robotic program(s) to enter; or (iii) engage in systematic entering from the same subscriber account (including but not limited to the creation of false accounts).
  5. Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by all decisions of Tourism Sun Peaks, which are final in all matters pertaining to the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable laws. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Tourism Sun Peaks and its affiliated and related companies and all of their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won.
  6. By entering, you consent to Tourism Sun Peaks’ use of your name, place of residence and photograph or other likeness for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any media or format (including the Internet) in connection with the products, this Contest, or future similar contests, if you should be deemed the Contest winner. By entering, you declare that you have complied with the Official Contest Rules.
