Sun Peaks is committed to your safety. There are elements of risk that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Your use of these premises and facilities and participation in activities on the premises involve various risks, dangers and hazards. Your legal responsibility as a user of the ski area premises and facilities or participant in activities at the ski area is explained in the following notice, which you will see posted in the ski area.

Bike Park Rules

Regardless of how you use the trails, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Please adhere to the rules and code listed below and share with others the responsibility for a safe outdoor experience.

Understanding Bike Park Signage

All routes within the Bike Park are designated by colour-coded trail markers at the start of each descent. Trails with an orange oval indicate freeride trails with man-made features and may require jumping skills.

Bear Aware

The mountains of the area abound with animals free roaming in their natural habitat. While in resort or on the mountain you may encounter a black bear during your stay.

Fire Safety

Sun Peaks Resort has instituted several measures to minimize the risks of inter-face forest fires, as well as structural fires. Please enjoy the mountains but use extreme caution and help preserve our natural environment.
