The crew has been busy preparing the race course for the upcoming Sun Peaks National DH Championship as well as weed whacking across both mountain to keep trails clear. The new exit of Super Nugget was built with minimal disruption to the forest floor to highlight the freeride aspect of this section. We hope you enjoy it!

The warm weather has continued, drying up most of the existing wet patches, and removing the need for plywood. While we're starting to see a bit of dust on the trails in the sun, you can still find great tacky dirt in the trees. Please note that the Ski Cross Course construction is temporarily affecting lower Arm Pump and lower Super Nugget. The crew is working to have these runs open with alternative outruns soon.

This was a great week for Trail Crew with the warmer weather allowing us to make significant progress on the remaining water damage from the spring melt. Beat the heat at altitude and come enjoy the trails while the dirt is prime.

The mud has been drying up after the rain last week, so we're experiencing some all time hero dirt right now. Canada Line, Stella Blue, Might As Well, and Bermalade are all open top to bottom. We anticipate being able to open more tech trails this weekend. Enjoy the long weekend laps!

We were stoked to see everyone out, enjoying the trails over Opening Weekend. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has continued to test Trail Crew with persistent rain and snow across the Bike Park. The wet conditions forced us to divert efforts from opening additional trails to repairing the water and rider damage on the trails currently open. With sunny skies and warm weather in the forecast, we look forward to making progress with the lingering snowpack at the top of Sunburst and the new construction in the Progression Park.

Notes From Trail Crew
This season has seen slower spring melt and minimal stretches of warm weather so far, resulting in prolonged wet conditions throughout the Bike Park. Despite the remaining snowpack at higher elevations, the crew has been working hard and we will have a good selection of trails available for Opening Day. Our focus has been on opening trails in good shape and aiming for quality over quantity, to provide the best experience for riders. We are monitoring trail conditions closely every day and will open additional trails as soon as possible. We ask guests to respect trail closures and please be mindful that there will be plywood sheets used in some areas to cover wet sections. We're stoked to bring you new trails and wood features in the Progression Park. We look forward to opening these additions over the next few weekends. Stay tuned on our social media for a complete list of what's opening prior to Opening Day.
