There's no better way to celebrate the legacy of Jake Burton Carpenter than joining us for a global day of snowboarding. If that's not an option, then hike, surf, skate, wax your board—whatever moves you!
Jake founded Burton Snowboards out of a Vermont barn in 1977 and dedicated the rest of his life to snowboarding. He was our founder, the soul of snowboarding, the one who gave us the sport we all love so much.
The impact his spirit had on each of us is undeniable, and through snowboarding, the feelings we've experienced and the memories we've made are unforgettable. His legacy will live on forever.
Jake's dream, perseverance, and generosity were a gift to the world. Not only did he put his blood, sweat, tears, and joy into snowboarding, but also into building a dedicated community that will carry it forward. Most winters, he clocked at least 100 days on snow.
Join us on March 15th, 2025 to celebrate the legacy of snowboarding.
