Sun Peaks welcomes for the first time two multi talented singer song-writers, Devin Cuddy and Conor Gains performing a double set on the Village Stage.
The Devin Cuddy Band
Devin Cuddy is a singer songwriter based in Toronto. From an early age he was drawn to music of the past. While sifting through his father's (Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo) CD collection, he found the music of Louis Armstrong and New Orleans blues piano players like Dr John and Professor Longhair. After attending York University for Jazz Piano, Devin starting hanging around Toronto's Cameron House, where he was inspired by the local singer songwriter scene. He began his performing career alone at the piano, playing every Wednesday night. It was during this time that he began writing and testing out his own material on an ever growing crowd. Drawing from inspirations like Randy Newman and Steve Earle, Devin started to build up a catalogue of his own material.
Five years in the making, 2024 marks the release of his album Dear Jane. You can find Devin and his band traversing the country, taking his unique sound and stellar live show from coast to coast to coast.

Conor Gains
Before Conor Gains writes a song he gets out of the way. After all, great songs come through people, rather than from them. The 27-year-old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer makes music that evolves freely because it’s been crafted outside of the box — effortlessly synthesizing the unmistakable warmth of Classic Soul and Modern R&B, with the soaring melodies of Psychedelic Southern Rock and Pop, and bound together with the precision of an artist with an ear for Jazz.
Gains is direct about what he wants his music to remedy, inspired by a lineage of artists who have long reflected the reality of an increasingly divided world. Now, he is retrofitting the motives of his influences into a much-needed contribution — in a world starved of healing, Conor Gains is delivering us the music medicine.
