Nod To Tod: Movie Premiere + Beer Launch

Sun Peaks Resort is excited to host Tod Mountain's 60th anniversary party on Thursday, November 18 at Masa’s Bar + Grill.

Join us for an evening of snow stoke before the lifts start turning for the winter season. Sun Peaks Resort will be releasing their anniversary beer collab with Red Collar Brewing Co. and Teton Gravity Research’s "Stoke the Fire" will be playing on the big screens. Entry is by donation with all proceeds going to the Sun Peaks Freestyle Club. Doors open at 7:30pm and the movie kicks off at 8:00pm.

It wouldn't be a proper 60th anniversary party without rocking those perfect retro outfits, so let's dig waaay back into our closets and start the 2021-22 winter season off right! Prizes are up for grabs for the best retro outfits. 

Teton Gravity Research "Stoke the Fire"

TGR’s 26th annual film release STOKE THE FIRE explores our athletes’ evolution within skiing and the pure joy that manifests from that process. The stoke means different things to different people based on where they are in their evolution. For some it is about committing to a new world, a lifestyle, and the friendships that blossom from that commitment. The choice to enter this world is a spark, and with every new experience the fire grows. With more knowledge comes more exploration, both physically and geographically, that helps to understand what those raw experiences connected with nature do for the soul. With more experience an examination of our shared history becomes important, and ultimately some of us might want to test our limits at the upper echelon of what is possible by drawing upon the sum of our knowledge and experiences. While the answers we find are different for everyone the pursuit of this evolution is something sacred, the pursuit is what stokes the fire. 

Sun Peaks Resort X Red Collar Brewing Co.

To help toast the big 6-0 we've partnered with local Kamloops brewery Red Collar Brewing Co. to create a special 60th anniversary beer: Altitude Adjustment White IPA. The obvious choice for après this season, this refreshing, light, and citrusy IPA pairs perfectly with a pow day, an evening by the fire, or your favourite shred flick. A big shout out to Sun Peaks' very own Zuzy Rocka for designing the artwork on the label of this anniversary beer.
