We’re excited to share that all three mountains will be open tomorrow!
This Saturday, December 11, both Sundance Express and Orient will start turning for winter 2021-22. With 28cm of new snow over the past seven days and more in the forecast for the weekend, Mother Nature has given us the helping hand we needed to get these areas of the Resort open.
On Sundance, favourites like Grannie Greene’s, Homesteader, Rambler, Suncatcher, Sundowner, and more will be available. Check our live Lifts & Trails Status page on Saturday morning for the full details of what will be open. Terrain Park fans will be stoked to know that thanks to our dedicated crews, we will have a selection of green, blue, and even a couple of black features open in the upper section of the park. The lower park remains closed for continued building.
Terrain on Orient will be very limited to start, but we are happy to be able to open this chairlift to provide access to the village core for guests and residents in the East Village. Please note that East Village Ski Way is open for local access only, as conditions on this trail are marginal at this time.
As a reminder, please continue to exercise good judgement and refrain from entering closed terrain. These runs are closed for a reason, and skiing or snowboarding on them puts yourself and our Patrol team at unnecessary risk. Trust us, as soon as conditions allow for safe (and fun) skiing in these areas we will open them.
The annual Holiday Kick-Off event is also happening on Saturday. Rumour has it the big guy himself will be making an appearance in the village, plus there is tons of free family fun, live music, and more to enjoy.
See you soon!
