Sun Peaks recently announced a $1.5 million investment in the Bike Park, which will include a new summer chairlift accessing 31km of brand-new trails. This expansion will add a variety of mountain biking trails for all ability levels. With 595m (1952') of lift-access vertical, the Sun Peaks bike park offers stunning alpine views, a vast network of trails and an un-paralleled experience.
Sun Peaks is known for the array of wildflowers, and it's a sight worth seeing! The alpine typically explodes with blooms in late July and early August. A variety of hiking trails are accessed by the Sunburst chairlift, making exploring the mountainous terrain a breeze all summer long.
Sun Peaks has a number of activities on offer in the summer months. Visitors can explore the mountains, valley, or nearby lakes. Mountain biking, hiking, golfing, golfing, canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding are all easily accessible.

With a noticeably cooler climate than nearby Kamloops, Sun Peaks is the perfect destination for escaping the heat. Cool off with a dip in Heffley Lake or take a paddle on McGillivray Lake. If you’re up for an adventure, head up to higher elevations and explore the alpine by bike or by foot.
Sun Peaks’ picturesque village is a stunning sight in the summer, and is filled with restaurants, cafés, shops and more. The European-style village is animated throughout the summer with free entertainment including mini golf, outdoor games, Sun Peaks Market Days, and more.
