Kids Adventure Zone - Grouse's Nest at The Sticks

The Sticks is a familiar Morrisey favourite for many young families, but this year it has a few more tricks in its trees—home to the Grouse’s Nest Kids Adventure Zone.

Where to find it: Jump on the Morrisey Express chairlift and swing left at the top to find this classic green cruiser. This run is considered one of the easiest ways down on Mt. Morrisey, so it’s a great place to start if your children are ready to level up from the Bunny Hill, or if your family is looking for a warm-up run to do altogether. The Grouse’s Nest will quickly come up on your left, just after the exit for Home Run. Kids Adventure Zones are also marked on the 2024-25 Alpine Trail Map in purple shading.

You might be surprised to find The Sticks is home to more than just skiers and boarders…

Follow the grouse's arrow Towards The Sticks to track down the Grouse’s Nest hidden among the trees.

Don’t blink! Just past the exit for Home Run, follow the orange signs on the left side of The Sticks for a surprise! Some of these grouse are pretty cheeky. How many can you count in total?

Even if your little ones are already great skiers or boarders, a ski or snowboard lesson at Sun Peaks can be a great way to learn new skills, make friends, and learn more about some of the mountain's best kept secrets. Consider a lesson to safely learn about skiing through trees and finding side bumps and jumps all over the hill.
