The holidays in Sun Peaks are truly magical. Our annual Holiday Kick-Off on December 10th is the perfect way to start the holiday season. The village is transformed into a dreamland of holiday cheer. Here is the perfect guide to experiencing Holiday Kick-Off.
Start your morning off right with a delicious crepe and hot chocolate from Tod Mountain Cafe . Then, head out to the mountain for some fresh powdery goodness! If you've got little ones who are just starting out skiing or snowboarding, drop them off at Sports School for a morning lesson.
Ski into the village for lunch at Vertical Cafe, which serves locally sourced, scratch cooking with vegan and gluten-free options. After lunch, make your way to the Clocktower Square to catch the arrival of Santa Claus and enjoy the holiday festivities.
Looking to create a cherished holiday memory? Book a professional photo session with Santa Claus himself! Sessions are available from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm, or you can drop in for a visit from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Don't miss this opportunity to capture your family's festive spirit! Photos are available for purchase through Alpine Images.
To participate in the Sneaky Scallywags scavenger hunt, head to the shop to pick up a tracker. Then, stroll around the village to find the hidden Harry Bears. Once you've found all the bears, return to the shop to collect your free "Sarah's Crash Bag" prize.
Santa’s sleigh will remain in the village for you to create a magical memory for your family by taking a ride through the snow-covered trails. Following your sleigh ride, you will return to the upper village for your next holiday experience.
Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate before walking to the Sun Peaks Centre for the Artisan Market. The perfect place to warm up and shop for one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones. Browse products from local vendors featuring textiles, paintings, jewelry, candles, holiday and home décor, seafood, sweet treats and more.
Following the market, relax with a refreshing drink and some delicious food on the patio at Morrisey's Public House. While the kids have fun making s'mores at the s'mores-making station, adults can sit back and enjoy the sweet sounds of the Lindsay May Trio.
