Sun Peaks has a variety of winter activities that all family members will love. Pick from tobogganing with views of Mount Tod, snowshoeing through a meandering network of trails, skating on an NHL-sized rink, or taking a horse drawn sleigh ride through the village. If you’re feeling adventurous, rent some skinny skis and Nordic ski with the entire family to the McGillivray Lake Outpost warming hut. Be sure to stop in at the slopeside Umbrella Café once you’re done your adventure and warm up with a delicious hot chocolate!

Every chairlift on all three mountains has a green run connected to it, so you will never get too far out of your comfort zone. Some favourites include fresh mini donuts from Baby Doh’s Mountain Fair, handmade chocolates from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and the famous sticky cinnamon buns from Sunburst Bar + Eatery.
Getting everyone ready to go in the morning can be a handful, but having convenient accommodation can significantly help this. Sun Peaks has several ski-in, ski-out hotels, making lift access easy. If you stay directly in the village you’ll have dining, shopping, and winter activities galore right at your fingertips.
