Synopsis: A weak westerly flow aloft will hold today with breaks of sunshine and a chance of flurries this afternoon. A small upper trough will slide in from the northwest later today and this evening, enhancing the flurries. Amounts will be likely 1 to 3 cm before drier air with a building upper ridge takes over on Tuesday. Wind will be light today except gusts to 15 km/h near the flurries. Wind will increase tonight into Tuesday morning, becoming NW 10-15 km/h with some gusts to 30 km/h in the alpine. Overall little change in temperature is in store through Wednesday.
Wednesday to Friday: With the next Pacific front, clouds will increase later Wednesday with flurries likely Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. Lower chance of flurries Thursday afternoon. Some light snow is likely with the next Pacific front on Friday night/Saturday morning. In the village it will be below freezing at night and a few degrees above freezing in the afternoon. At mid mountain it will remain consistently below freezing with highs near -5 C and lows close to -8 C.
