Singer-songwriter Sophie D'Orléans grew up in Chapel Hill, a suburb of Ottawa. She spent three years studying music in Nelson, BC. Since 2016, she's been the songwriter, lead singer, keyboardist of The Sophistocrats. Their first EP, Together, was released on March 24th, 2018.

She recently moved back east and is in the process of writing and recording original material as a solo artist. She'll be releasing songs in English and French. During summer 2018, she'll be touring British Columbia and Alberta, as well as attending the Island Mountain Arts songwriting workshop and the Hornby Island Festival Emerging Artist Workshop.
