Intro To: The Mountain Collective Pass

Jackson Hole. Chamonix. Niseko. Snowbird. What do these legendary ski and snowboard destinations share in common? They all appear on every ski bum’s bucket list, and they’re all members of the Mountain Collective!

This year Sun Peaks Resort is stoked to join them as part of Mountain Collective’s dream lineup of 23 destinations around the world. So, how does the Mountain Collective work? We’ve put together answers for some frequent questions we’ve been getting about the pass:

The Mountain Collective

What is the Mountain Collective Pass? Is It Separate to My Sun Peaks Resort Season Pass?

The Mountain Collective Pass is a combo pass product that includes two days of skiing, plus additional discounts, at 23 ski and snowboard destinations throughout North America and the world. It is a separate pass to our Sun Peaks Resort Alpine Season Pass.

If you’re a Sun Peaks Resort Alpine Season Pass holder and want to receive the full benefits of the 2020-21 Mountain Collective Pass you need to purchase it in addition to your Sun Peaks Resort pass. Otherwise you will receive the reciprocal 50% discount (more details on that below), but not the two included days at each destination.

The pass is not available for purchase through our online store or our Guest Services team. You need to purchase it online via the Mountain Collective website.

What is Included with a Mountain Collective Pass?

The pass includes two days of skiing or snowboarding at each of the participating destinations with no blackout dates. That’s a total of 46 days spread over 23 legendary destinations if you manage to hit them all!

Once you’ve used your initial two days, the pass also gets you 50% off on any additional lift tickets at each of these destinations for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. Special Mountain Collective lodging deals are also available at select destinations.

How Can I Redeem My Days and Discounts?

The process for redeeming your included days and additional 50% discount may vary at each destination, so we recommend connecting with specific resorts to find out more before you visit. We’re currently finalizing how the redemption process will work here in Sun Peaks and will have the full details available soon.

Are There Benefits for Sun Peaks Resort Pass Holders for Being Part of the Mountain Collective?

Yes! Even if you don’t purchase a Mountain Collective Pass, your Sun Peaks Resort Alpine Season Pass now gets you 50% off on lift tickets at the other 22 Mountain Collective destinations this winter. Stay tuned for more information on this soon when we confirm the details of our 2020-21 pass perks program.
