Enjoy a Scenic Drive
It’s time to either board your plane or hit the road for a picturesque trip to Sun Peaks. Sun Peaks is located just a quick 45-minute drive from Kamloops and a short flight from Vancouver or Calgary.
Afternoon
Settle in & Explore the Valley
Once you’ve taken a moment to check out your accommodations, you will be ready to explore the village and the surrounding valley. Head over to the Sun Peaks Nordic Centre and strap on some Nordic skis to explore 34 km of beautiful groomed and tack set trails. If a leisurely stroll is more up your alley then grab your winter boots and wander the snowy valley trail network.
Evening
Experience Sun Peaks by Moonlight
Sun Peaks offers several options for an evening of fun after the sun goes down. If you’re feeling adventurous, partake in a snowshoe adventure under the stars with the ‘Snowshoe Fondue’ tour. This tour meanders through snow covered trails before bringing you back to Fondue Stube for a tasty fondue dinner.
Morning
Grab Brekkie To-Go
Hit the ground running first thing in the morning by grabbing a cuppa joe and a bite to eat at one of the many cafés lining Sun Peaks’ ski-through village. You’ll be able to find specialty coffees at Bolacco Café, freshly baked treats at Vertical Café, and 5Forty Café & Grill for savoury bites. By the end of your time in Sun Peaks, you’ll be sure to have a favourite café to frequent!
Afternoon
Hit the Slopes
Strap on your skis or snowboard and explore the 4,270 acres of skiable terrain that makes Sun Peaks Canada’s second largest ski area. With three mountains to explore, there’s no shortage of shredding to do – from powder-filled bowls to low-key groomers.
Tip: Take a mid-day break and grab one of Sun Peaks’ famous cinnamon buns from the Sunburst Bar + Eatery (they’re baked fresh daily!).
Evening
Unwind with Some Après
After a full day out on the hill you’ll be ready to settle in for a relaxing evening of après. Sit slopeside on Bottoms Bar & Grill patio or enjoy a warm beverage nestled in the village at Morrisey's Public House. Sun Peaks has 20+ cafes and restaurants to choose from, all of which offer a variety of beverages and a delicious array of food and treats. Soak in the village atmosphere on an outdoor patio, or enjoy the warmth and cozy up indoors.
Morning
Enjoy a Quintessential Mountain Town Experience
Kick your morning off right by choosing from a variety of non-ski activities in Sun Peaks. Take your pick between a bucket list-worthy dog sled tour, a relaxing and scenic horse-drawn sleigh ride, or a fully guided ice fishing experience. The hardest part is picking which activity you want to try!
Afternoon
Lace-Up Your Skates & Hit the Ice
You don’t have to be a skier to have some winter fun in Sun Peaks. Check out the new NHL-sized outdoor, covered skating rink.
