Valley Trail
Just steps away from Sun Peaks' pedestrian only village you will find the valley trail. Just as its name states, this trail winds its way through the valley while offering stunning views of Mount Tod and the other surrounding mountains. This trail is accessible, making it the perfect choice for the whole family.
Juniper Ridge Loop
For a stunning alpine blossom experience, hop on the Sunburst chairlift and ride your way up into the alpine. From the top of the chair, you are a short (but steep!) climb away from an unparalleled wildflower viewing experience. Work your way around the Juniper Ridge Loop and soak in all of those colourful views!
Tod Lake
The Tod Lake hiking trail also starts at the top of the Sunburst chairlift, guiding you up Gil's area into the tucked away Tod Lake. This alpine lake is surrounded with wildflowers and gentle mountain slopes. If you're feeling extra adventurous, then continue along to the top of Mount Tod. This peak is worth the grind, offering 360-degree alpine views.
McGillivray Lake
The trail to McGillivray Lake meanders up our Nordic ski trails and is wide and easy enough for the whole family to enjoy. Once you arrive at the lake, take a break and relax on the dock before you head back. McGillivray Lake is also a popular destination for cross-country mountain bikers, so feel free to pedal up if you prefer!
Coming Soon: Morrisey Ascent Trail
This brand-new trail is aptly named "Cedar Twist" and is currently being built by the Sun Peaks trail crew with plans to open later in the summer. The trail will wind its way up to the top of Mount Morrisey with scenic viewpoints along the way. Stay tuned for progress on this exciting new project!
