Summer has arrived in Sun Peaks, and that means the lifts are running, the bikes are rolling, and the live music is playing! One of the best ways to enjoy Sun Peaks in the summer is to head into the village, grab a seat on the patio, and relax with your friends to the sounds of live entertainment. This two-piece Kamloops local band hit the ground running this past spring, releasing their acoustic-pop debut LP, “LooPs” and are quickly becoming a top up-and-coming duo in BC, Canada. Their name is both a tribute to their hometown Kamloops and a representation of how they view themselves as a band – “always equal, always band first, and stronger as a whole than the parts.” They’re described as having a “commanding stage presence” and are known for being “memorable and captivating their audience.” Stroll over to the Sun Peaks village on July 31st to experience a performance with original tracks along with creative cover song remixes!

A top 20 Canadian Idol contestant, winner of BCMA’s People’s Choice Award, and opening act for Carley Rae Jepsen: Paul Filek is coming to Sun Peaks! His original songs have been compared to that of Maroon 5 and Train; his funky style and emotional lyrics has kept audiences across Canada entertained for the past 16 years.

Sister Speak, a Canadian indie-pop and rock group, is coming to Sun Peaks! The group, led by singer-songwriter Sherri Anne, is known for their message-driven music to support the expression of the woman's voice and has toured internationally, headlining and performing at various festivals.

Calling all classic rock lovers! The 11th annual Retro Concert Weekend will return to Sun Peaks this summer for the first time in two years. Music lovers who favour the groovy, old-time classics can jam out blast-to-past style as tribute bands travel back in time with performances covering hit songs from billboard chart toppers like ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, and ACDC.

A Canadian ski town favourite! Shred Kelly played their way into the music scene from the heart of the Canadian Rockies in 2009, performing in various ski towns across BC and has since rocked onto the international stage. The five-piece, alternative folk-rock band has received applause from Spotify Editorial Playing, CBC, Exclaim, Music Life Magazine, and has been featured on national and international radio.
